Who Will Win 2013 NBA Slam Dunk Contest?

We have to be honest, it has been a long time since anyone really cared about the slam dunk competition.  Yeah, Blake Griffin added a little juice by jumping over a car, but there haven't been many iconic moments in the last decade.

2012 Slam Dunk competition winner Jeremy Evans is back to defend his title. The Utah Jazz forward wasn't a known commodity going into last year's dunk contest, but people are gunning for him this year.

We look at the rest of the competitors and post some of their dunk highlights this year and some most iconic dunks of their careers.

Will we have another new winner this season?

Jeremy Evans - Utah Jazz

I like Evans' shot to win. He will need to surpass last year's dunks to win. The field is bigger and arguably more talented. Bovada.lv has the betting line for Evans winning at +500.

James White - New York Knicks

James White has been a dunking icon since high school. He left college too early and hasn't had much success in the NBA. He has a crazy vertical and has won dunk contests in different leagues. He has a barrage of dunks he can complete for 50s. Bovada.lv has the odds of James White winning the Slam Dunk Contest at +125.

Gerald Green - Indiana Pacers

Gerald Green is similar to James White. Their jumping ability is unmatched and they are both preview Slam Dunk Contest winners. Green won the 2005 McDonald's All-American Dunk Contest and the 2007 NBA Slam Dunk Contest...and he was runner-up in the 2008 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Bovada.lv has his odds at +250. I really like those odds. He is my favorite to win.

Terrence Ross - Toronto Raptors

Terrence Ross is the dark horse to win the event. His Bovada.lv odds are right in the middle of the pack at +350. He has a nice dunk resumé, but he does a lot of the same stuff that White and Green can do. Unless he pulls out a gimmick, I don't see him winning, but it's plausible.

Eric Bledsoe - Los Angeles Clippers

Bledsoe is the shortest competitor in the contest, so when he completes a quality dunk, the more impressive it will be. There is no doubt that his "Lob City" teammate Blake Griffin will be involved in some capacity. Bovada has his odd at +750, so if you think he'll win, that line is very attractive.

Kenneth Faried - Denver Nuggets

It's hard to count out the "Manimal", but I don't like his odds at +750. He doesn't seem as athletic as the other men in the dunk contest. He appears to have more muscle mass than the rest of the contestants, but I don't see it.

Who do you think will win the 2013 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest?
